We are heading back to Pontevedra where we left off the camino due to one sore foot. It will take a couple of days and then we will put on our backpacks and complete the trek, albeit at a slower pace.
The countryside through the middle is wheat, wheat and more wheat and its harvest time.
We passed miles of wheat fields and the Camino Frances path runs through a fair bit of the wheat plains, the poor peregrinos looked hot and bothered as they trudged the trail in the baking sun. We were 'bon camino-ing' as we came across peregrinos. This part of the trail is in the full sun......ouch!

In amongst all the wheat fields are the odd fields of sunflowers making for stunning vistas.
Along the way, near Burgos, we stumbled upon cave dwellings and a little church dug into the hillside.
