Breakfast on the deck in Austria, morning tea in Liechtenstein, lunch in Switzerland and dinner in Italy....what an amazing day.
We set off in brilliant sunshine and the Alp's turned on all their charms. We turned off the toll roads on the NavGal as we wanted to see more than motorways and tunnels and boy are we glad we did, one or the most incredible drives we have ever done.
We have some pretty amazing drives in New Zealand but this one really is right up there. The road condition was great, we didn't see any rubbish or graffiti/tagging along the way and the scenery was superb. All the drivers were courteous and were not zooming along, the motorbike tourers were talking it slowly.....NZ drivers could learn a thing or too!
Driving into Italy the scenery changed again.

Driving along we saw amazing castles, stunning scenery and the Alp's rise up almost vertically from farm land.

At Saint Moritz we saw the biggest collection of kite surfers in one place, they looked fantastic!
