San Francisco City here we come

We had a fabulous time with my brother in San Rafael. Once we were over our red eye/ jet lag the good times started with a pirate BBQ which set the bar high and the good times carried on - Mt Tam hiking, Healdsburg 4th of July celebrations, visiting family in Ukiah, Coppola winery,  Stinson Beach, Sausalito, Open Water Rowing BBQ, music in the park,  Halleck Creek Ranch, Berkeley fire trail hiking, delicious kai, Flynn Creek Circus, International Propaganda Museum, the Mission San Rafael and exploring the Sausalito houseboat community, spending time with family and walking lovely Daisy dog....all wonderful experiences. Thanks to Kevin for making some great memories 🙂

On Saturday we were city bound!

Caught the Larkspur Ferry over to the city. The ferry was busy with a Giants game on - lots of happy fans in SF team colours.  The fog rolled in over Golden Gate bridge but by the time we hopped off  the ferry in the city the weather was glorious.

Our dear friends Carol and John met us right out front the ferry building - great skills snaffling a park there :)

We had a lovely drive along the Embarcadero and stopped for lunch in the Presidio at Colibri Mexican restaurant. Groovy place, delicious food and they were playing old Mexican films at the very impressive bar area - neat place.

We poked our noses into the Presidio Officers Club Museum. The Officers dining room was stunning - beautiful architecture and great to see it being used by the public through booking weddings and celebrations there.

We drove through some fancy schmancy neighbourhoods with  architecture that would have your eyeballs on stalks, gorgeous landscaping and the 'painted ladies' houses were looking grand.

We had a fantastic first day in our new digs in the city, thanks Carol and John💓
