Wonderful exhibition at SFMOMA.
The range of the pieces in the exhibit was extensive, from sketch drawings / templates for large murals to costume design for a play he wrote and directed. There were so many stunning artworks from the various stages of his life. Rivera created sweeping murals depicting Mexican history, world events and futuristic visions / social commentary.
So many beautiful pieces and the use of colour tones and light were spectacular.
In the gift store there were all sorts of things to tempt you, some with price tags that would make your eyes water and some a bit dubious - anyone for a Frida Kahlo paper doll and costume cutouts?
The permanent collection looked pretty incredible at a glance too.
