Segovia another day

The weather forecast looked very hot so we decided to spend another day in Segovia. 

There is so much to explore in this little city that you could spend a week and still not get around all of the architectural wonders. 

It's lovely to see the elderly so involved in the city. They seem to meet their buddies in the plaza and in the evening many of the elderly people are promenading with their children or grandchildren, it's lovely. 

Besides one of the ancient historic sites there was a man hoeing a vegetable garden in the blazing sun, I couldn't believe it, that he was working away in the heat in order to get the vegetables in.

We had only booked one night in the hostel  and not walking in the heat today meant finding a place to stay. 

We are now staying in a fabulous old building just outside the city walls, allegedly a  former palace, a bit fancy for us but with all the Madridlianos who come to Segovia for the weekend it was a bit tricky.

So not much to report for today, just enjoying Segovia and planning the next stage of our adventure.
