Caught the ferry to Mykanos.
Stayed half way between the old port and the new port. We had a classic little blue and white house on the side of the hill with an amazing deck/patio that looked over the whole Mykanis bay area...picnic dinners with wine and sunsets.....not to difficult to cope with. Walked along the coast road a lot and its a shame to see how much rubbish there is here. Looks like everyone just throws their rubbish out the car windows. If Mykanos was the only island you had been to it would seem great I'm sure, but to us it felt jaded and over hyped and.....dirty compared to all the other gorgeous islands we have been lucky enough to visit. Lots of young people here to party all night and then sleep it off all day in the sun. There is a beach here called Paradise. We went to Paradise........its awful....sun beds stacked so close together....people basting themselves while getting plastered.....15mins of paradise was enough...plus the wrinkly full nudies sun drying their cracks was not what I wanted to see as I was sipping a cold drink...eeeeurgh. Much nicer to have a quiet, secluded cove all to yourself.
