The grey sky and showers have gone and Porto looks down right pretty on a sunny day. You don't seem to notice the rubbish and graffiti around you...the down at heel feeling dissipates and you sit in a square under an umbrella and soak up the feel of this interesting city. Ventured out to the coast...its beautiful out there but shame on the architects and city planners of the 80's and 90's...the new additions to the sea front are shockers..not blending with tradition and not radical enough to provide good contrast...rubbish on the beach front along tide line was awful....could be gorgeous with a little TLC
