Had a great time in London catching up with family and friends. It rained a lot but we dodged the showers and had some lovely walks through all the magnificent parks...Regents Park, St James's Park, Hyde Park. Strolling along to Regents Park an old colleague from NZ was going for a jog and jogged up to say hi..... who would have thought in a city of approx 7millon people you would run into someone you know.
London is getting geared up for the Olympics, the underground is squeaky clean, the roads and buildings are tidy, lots of last minute work underway for the big event....Greenwhich Park was closed for the set up of the Olympic equestrian events. We were in London for the opening of the Shard. This is the latest and greatest building funded by Abu Dhabi.
Everyone was super helpful, we even had Graham's camera returned to us from a park bench...good old London put on its best for us.
Will post some pics
