Our lovely new mates from the ship, Sally and Steve, were driving home to Wickhamford and very kindly gave us a ride to Stratford upon Avon. They took us the scenic route past Blenheim Palace, Chipping Norton and Chipping Campden, all through the most beautiful English countryside and villages....just beautiful, they gave us lunch in their home and showed us their village and church...so historic, the stripes on the American flag can be linked back to a family from their village...wonderful and we won't forget this time. Very lucky and just lovely people...our tribe.
