Langkawi nature

In the short time we have been here we have seen some wonderful birds, monkey's, sea life, butterflies and flowers. The scent of sweet tropical flowers and vanilla Jasmine fills the air.

Standouts have been the giant Hornbills birds just happily munching away on pawpaw right by our pool and seeing the white belly fish eagle slowly cruising looking for fish in the shallow sandy bays from above.

The butterflies are stunning but move too quickly to capture but check out the delicate marking on this moth below, beautiful.

Along with the Dingo dogs, Langakwi has its fair share of cats, some fisherman cats and cafe  cats, street cats and lots of wild cats.

 Check out the spotted stingray!

 Divine smelling flowers all around.
I almost forgot the otters, sharp little teeth as they munched down on their daily dose of fish.
The biggest highlight in many ways was seeing the dusky leaf monkey scooting through the trees as we ate breakfast. They move fast, the photo below was taken by Mark Evesleigh.

There is so much to see and do if you can hack the heat and humidity. When it all gets too hot and sticky the beach awaits, there is magnificent food to taste and you can take your pick from beachfront bars to watch the sun go down. It's a tough holiday 😊
